Rule One
If you're feeling brave, here is what Bryan did. *shudder*
Hello -- what the hey? It's 2009?
Where does the time go?
2009 has started much the same way that 2008 did. We've been to Marscon and our next stop is
Katsucon. We're going to be hanging out with some seriously cool other comics, so click the happy
link and find out more information. Click, I say! :D
2009 will also mark the official end of "Fragile Gravity". On December 30, we will be making sure the stove is off, shutting off the
lights, and locking the door behind us. It's been a great journey and I hope the last leg is worth it. We've already tied up the loose end
of the elk; now it's time for everything else.
Stay well, folks -- since this is our last year together, I'll try not to let the rant languish so...
More as more occurs...
Fiscal Stimulus?
I've decided to go ahead and try my write-for-donations plan. To me,
it's like a form of Etsy; instead of yarn, cloth, and clay, my stuff
is all electrons and occasional pieces of paper. It's a simple
set-up: if you're interested in donating, send me a little something,
a subject you'd like me to write about, and (if you feel like it) a
format. I will then return said item to you in a PDF; if I know I'll
run into you at a con, I'll give you a printed copy. Make sure that I
have a stable e-mail address for your item; it might even be wise to
include a secondary one just in case.
A few tidbits:
1) I'll write most anything but porn. This isn't because of any moral
qualms; it's that I'm not good at it. If you're going to spend your
money on me, I want to make sure I'm giving you something of value.
Oh, it's probably also not a good idea to ask me to write a term paper
for you; it would be filled with all sorts of humorous errors. ;D
2) Once you've sent something in, I'll contact you to make sure we're
on the same page subject-wise. I do reserve the right to take 24
hours to research anything with which I'm unfamiliar, but I'm a
librarian -- I'm good at this kind of thing.
3) If you ever lose what I've written for you (computer crashes, acts
of various malevolent deities, giant monsters, etc.), I will gladly
send you new copies. (See the above about stable addresses)
4) If you'd rather instead the money be counted towards me not drawing
the strip, please mention that in the comments. You will likely
receive a bonus haiku of sadness. If someone feels strongly enough
about my lack of art skills to donate a considerable sum of money, I
will burn my Photoshop disc.
Here's the happy fun button -- if you feel like it, great. If you
don't, that's OK as well. :)
